Easter in Britain
Easter is an important spring festival in Britain. The Easter holiday is usually two weeks long! On the Friday before Easter, people in Britain eat hot cross buns. People also make Easter eggs and hide them in their gardens. They hide chocolate eggs too. People don't prepare an Easter basket but Easter Sunday starts with an Easter egg hunt when children look for eggs in the garden. Also on Easter Sunday, an Easter bunny brings some presents for children - chocolate eggs, chicks or some other small gifts. Easter Monday is not Wet Monday but children may go Egg rolling. They put an Easter egg at the top of a hill and let it roll down the hill. The winner is the first egg that gets to the bottom of the hill.
