Masculine

Feminine

Is a society where this separation between gender is not there. And in feminine culture quality of life is more important than success. Thus we work to live and we do not live to work. Morever they believe that success equals money.

Is a society in which emotional gender role are distinct. So boy should be assertive and tough and focused on material success , power or money and women should be focused on the quality of life. And in masculine society work clearly prevails over the family

France is a feminine society indeed we see this with its famous welfare, the 35-hour working week and five weeks of holidays.

France

Turkey

Austria

Austria is a masculine society whith a score of 79 where most of people live in order to work and managers are expected to be decisive. And conflicts are resolved by fighting them out.

Turkey is also on the feminine side of the scale, indeed the softer aspects of culture such as leveling with others, consensus, sympathy for the underdog are valued and encouraged.

Business style

The manager in a masculine company is self-confident quick to decide and aggressive; meetings are an opportunity for participants to affirm themselves and decisions are otherwise made individually. In a feminine company, the manager is less showy, more intuitive and used to seek consensus; meetings are an opportunity to discuss problems and find common solutions.
