It represent a phoenix emerging from the flamme with a Latin motto. "Crescat Scientia, Vita Excolatur" It means "May knowledge grow and life be enriched".

For exemple the university free tuition for families with incomes under a $125 000. Students who are the first in their families to attend college will receive a $20,000 scholarship.

The Campus

The campus is located in the historic, residential neighborhood of Hyde Park in the downtown Chicago. the campus is 217 acres wide ( around 88 hectare ), have a botanical garden and Gothics buildings with gargoyles. The campus have many ressources like health service that offers to student to meet health professional and even its own Police Departement that dispenses self-defense courses.
