CIRMUMPHERENCE AND CIRCLE
By Cristian Apostol
A circle is a shape consisting of all points in a plane that are at a given distance from a given point, the centre
A radius is a line segment that begins form the centre and touches a point on the circumpherence
A radius is also the distance between the centre and the circumpherence
Chords are linear segments which have the end points lying on the boundary of the circumpherence
The diametre is the longest chord because it passes through the centre
An Arc is a portion of circumpherence between two rays
A sector is a part of the circle between two rays
A segment is a region bounded by a chord of a circle and the intercepted arc of the circle.
The circular crown is a portion of the circle between two circumpherences with the same centre
The central angle AMB is formed by two rays and its vertex lies on the centre of the circumpherence
The inscribed angle BCA is formed between two chords whose vertex lies in a circle’s circumference.
