The Historical Regatta: Is a very old tradition that takes place on the first Sunday in September. The best gondoliers and rowers from the four medieval seafaring republics participate: Venice, Pisa, Amalfi and Genoa. The feast of the redeemer: Is celebrated every year on the third Sunday of July. In Venice, this date has a very particular importance and for five centuries it has become one of the main festivals of the city, much felt by its inhabitants, together with the Feast of the Madonna of Health in November. The Venice Film Festival: (in Italian, Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica della Biennale di Venezia) is an Italian film festival that takes place every year at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice. It is one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world.1 Although the festival is annual, it is framed within what is known as the Venice Biennale.
