• Pre-lightening is a process of removing natural pigments from the hair.

• Pre-lighteners have a high alkaline content, during processing it penetrates the cuticle and the hair structure is softened and the cuticle scales are opened.

• When the cuticles are opened the bleach can penetrate easily.

• The same as permanent colour, the lightening chemical process involves the addition of oxygen

• Inside the cortex the pre-lightener or colour reducer will penetrate the cortex shrinking the colour molecules and reduce the natural pigments Melanin and Pheomelanin, this then forms colourless hair called Oxy-Melanin

• The black/brown pigments are larger and easier to remove from the hair structure, these are lifted out quickly leaving the Pheomelanin red/yellow pigments

• Pheomelanin pigments are much smaller and are a lot more difficult to remove and often it takes a long time to get past this yellow stage

• The darker the natural colour, pigment is more intense
• The lightening process can prove to be difficult

• Removing colour by using a reduction or oxidation process will penetrate the cortex and lightens all natural and artificial colour pigments

High-lift : 11-series & 12-series

• They have a high pH value to open the cuticle and enter the cortex
• Lighten natural, virgin hair
• 11-series lifts up to 4 levels and are cooler
• 12-series lifts up to 5 levels and are wamer (better on levels 7-8)
• Tone and balance the warmth during the lightening process
• Mix 2:1 hydrogen peroxide
• Develop up to 45mins
• Do not apply to pre-lightened areas
• Do not use as a toner

Hufen Melynu & Hufen Melynu LludwBlonding Cream & Blonding Cream Ash

• Blonding Cream contains no colour pigments

• Blonding Cream Ash contains mattening tones
• When mixed with 11 and 12 series it gives an extra ½ to 1 level of lift

• Blonding cream can give a degree of lift on professionally tinted hair, although the number of levels of lift is not always predictable

Neutralights

Special series of high lifting shades for dark hair to achieve lighter results without brassiness in a single step process: Two shades: Violet Ash and Ash Ash For use on dark natural colours levels 2-5 For use on virgin hair only

• Ash Ash on levels 2-5
• Violet Ash on levels 5-6

• To cool it down you can add up to 50%:
• P-mix on levels 5+
• A-mix on levels 4-
• You can also add BC or BCA for extra lift

Powdr Ysgafnu Oxycur Platin Lightening Powder

• Oxycur Platin Dust Free is a blue powder bleach Gives up to 7 levels of lift
• To Mix
• 35 ml Topchic Developing Lotion & 1 scoop of oxycur Platin Bleach

• 3% or 6% on scalp
• 3% 6% or 9% off scalp

• Up to 45mins develop timing
• Develop by observation

SilkLift High Performance Lightener Strong is a lightening product for up to 7 levels of lift containing ammonia SilkLift High Performance Lightener Gentle is a lightening product for up to 5 levels of lift without ammonia

• 35mls developing lotion 3%, 6% 0r 9%
• 1 scoop powder
• 3 pumps of serum

• Specialised Colour remover/reducer

• Removes oxidative colour like Topchic and Colourance

• Formulated for minimal impact on natural hair pigments
• Apply to towel dried hair

• Mixing ratio 2:1
