Function of each gland

Pituitary Gland - Controls all other glands and makes ACTH, FSH, GH, LH, MSH, Prolactin, TSH, ADH, & oyxtocinThyroid Gland - Makes T3 and T4 and stimulates metabolism, growth, temperature Parathyroid Glands - Secretes PTH and stimulates the breakdown of the bone Adrenal Glands - Secretes adrenaline and regulates electrolyte levels, changes metabolism, and responds to stress. Pancreas - Secretes insulin and glucagon while controlling metabolism and blood sugar levels. Thymus - Secretes thymosin and plays a major role in the immune system. Pineal Gland - Secretes melatonin and influences the sleep cycle. Gonads (Male - Testes, Female - Ovaries) - Produces gametes and regulates development of secondary sex characteristics. Hypothalmus - The hypothalmus produces corticotrophin, dopamine, growth hormones, somatostatin, gonadotrophin and thyrotrophin.
