What is globalization?
Globalization is the process of growing, developing, and expanding the business, services, and technologies across the globe. It is the expansion of several businesses to the global markets. Countries are coming together as one big global economy. Recently, the process of globalization has increased exponentially. The particular reason for this circumstance is that it has improved trade, increased labor, and capital mobility, and improved technology.

How does globalization affects portugal?
Portugal has been a member of the European Union since 1986 and as a consequence of the European integration process has been experiencing considerable political, social, and mainly economic changes. Several studies have already proven that several Portuguese areas of economic activity have been profoundly influenced by European regulations and policies. Portuguese companies gained the opportunity to explore economies of scale and to specialize in certain goods and services through comparative advantage, improved their position to negotiate internationally, eliminated the exchange rate uncertainty, reduced inflation rates, and enhanced competition which stimulates greater economic efficiency.

What are the positive effects of globalization on education?
Globalization of the world economies is leading to increasing emphasis on internationalization of the subjects included in a course of study in school. It also creates opportunities for new partnerships in research and teaching with agencies and institutions across the world.
Globalization enhances the ability of learners to access, assess, adapt, and apply knowledge, to think independently to exercise appropriate judgment, and to collaborate with others to make sense of new situations.

Conclusion
To sum up, everything that has been stated so far I have discussed the pros and cons of globalization and how it affects society .In general thoughts on the matter that Globalization should play a role more important on school in the light of the fact we are the adults of tomorrow.
