1. What is the reproductive system?
It consists of the organs we need to have babies.
It is different in men and women.
2. The female reproductive system
It has 2 important functions: 1. To produce egg cells. 2. To protect the new life.

Ovaries: produce egg cells. Uterus: where the new life develops. Vagina: muscular tube that is connected with the uterus.

3. The male reproductive system
It has 1 important FUNCTION: 1. To make spermatozoa.
Penis
Testicles: produce sperm. Penis: a muscular organ through which sperm goes out of the body. The urethra is inside the penis.

Sperm + egg cell = zygoto = embryo
