What power distance means?

Do you feel more comfortable working in a strong hierarchy or do you prefer a sense of equality with all of your colleagues? This sensibillity is called “power distance” and it concerns the degree to which power is distributed and expected in an organization or in other culture. It is calculated using the Power distance Index, which measures the extent to which the less powerful members of organizations and institutions accept and expect that power is distributed unequally.
