A LITTLE HISTORY
A little history...
A beautiful and charismatic late Gothic building, built around 1480, by the architect Juan Guas and the carver Egas Coeman at the request of the 2nd Duke of Infantado. The courtyard of the Lions is the central element of the Palace, its name is given by the reliefs on the ground floor: pairs of lions facing each other holding mill hoppers -the emblem of the first Duke of Infantado-, and among them the columns, the shields de Mendoza and Luna in honor of the duke's wife's family.
