Paying For College Presentation
FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid Most colleges will request that students complete the FAFSA to receive any sort of scholarship, grant, loan, or other student aid. The application opens on October 1st. Parents, be sure to log in and start the application as soon as it opens.
Scholarships Many universities will have their own scholarship application for students to complete once they are admitted. Be sure to check your university's website. Also, you can use online scholarship searches to apply to national scholarships like Fastweb.com or scholarships.com.
FEF - Frisco Education Foundation The Frisco Education Foundation Scholarship Program offers Frisco ISD graduating high school seniors the opportunity to apply for college scholarships offered through the Foundation.

Application Process Overview 1. Apply to college and pay the fee 2. Follow application procedures 3. Request transcript through Parchment (on FISD website) 4. Send ACT/SAT/AP scores to college via testing company 5. Request recommendation letters (only if required) starting in September High school counselors will meet with Seniors at the beginning of Senior year to go over all application processes.

Common Application Students can apply to more than 900 Common App member colleges worldwide through our online college application platform
Coalition Students can apply to any of the 150+ Coalition member schools, easily and efficiently.
Apply Texas ApplyTexas offers a centralized means for both Texas and non-Texas students to apply to the many outstanding postsecondary institutions available in Texas.
Other Applications Some schools offer their own application methods. Be sure to follow all instructions and reach out to the school if you have any questions.
