Diferencias entre Presente Simple y Presente Continuo

En que caso los usamos?

Usos de los tiempos verbales

El "Presente Simple" nos indica que las acciones se realizan diaria o continuamente como nuestros hábitos, rutina diara o eventos especiales, por ejemplo:

I wake up at 8:00 every morning

I go to school by bus

My birthday is on January 6th

El presente continuo en cambio...

... nos indica que la acción se esta realizando en este momento, ahora, por ejemplo:

I am running right now ...

She is teaching a class at the moment

Es muy importante ...

Tener en cuenta las diferencias entre la gramatica de ambos:

• El verbo en presente simple se encuentra en su forma base o lleva S en la 3ra persona del singular: I work in an office near town. She works in a rural school,
• El verbo en continuo lleva ING siempre: I am working in my office right now. She is working in a rural school at the moment.
• El auxiliar del presente simple (en negativas e interrogativas) es el verbo Do - Does He doesn't like studying.
• El auxiliar del presente continuo es el verbo Be (am-is-are) He isn't studying now.

Ambos tiempos verbales están en presente pero...

El presente simple hace referencia a acciones que suceden con cierta frecuencia en el presente:

El presente continuo hace referncia a acciones que estan ocurriendo ahora, en este momento:

I am getting ready to start working right now

I do my homework everyday after school

Como notar las diferencias a la hora de trabajar?

• I work in an office everyday
• In the morning, I get up at 7 am

Presente Simple

• I am working in an office at the moment
• Right now, she is leaving for work

Presente Continuo

• I ___(work) in an office everyday

Presente Simple

• I _____ (work) in an office at the moment
