Testing the Fan motor
The Inverter driven fan motor is powered by the fan board and connects onto the fan board on connection CNINV The accessible fan plug connection can be found on the front of the Inverter box just below the 3 phase power supply labelled as RYFAN1 The link between RYFAN1 and CNINV is internal to the VRF outdoor unit
Testing the Fan motor
The fan motor winding resistance should read around 10 Ohms This value changes with temperature Based at 20 degrees
Insulation resistance test carried out at 500v Any value below 1Meg ohm would indicate a faulty fan motor
