A small group of people communicating with each other to achieve some interdependent goal, such as increased understanding, coordination of activity, or solution to a shared problem. -pg. 8, chp. 1. What need to be done before Group Discussion?
- Read the instruction
- Identify the topic / problem
- Brainstorm your idea on a piece of paper
- Choose 2 POINTS which you think the most suitable
- Elaborate by adding explanation and examples
What need to be done during group discussion?
- Greet each other, and mention the topic of the day
- During the discussion, make sure to;
- Listen to and comprehend discussions and conversations
- Give suggestions and make counter suggestions
- Agree or disagree to suggestions courteously
- Justify your opinions by giving elaboration and example
- Ask for and make clarifications
Group discussion allows you to share ideas and information.
What need to be done during group discussion?
- Please remember to;
- Make interruptions politely
- Take turns speaking, and encouraging others to make contributions
- Make and respond clearly and politely
- Use proper gestures and facial expressions
- End the discussion with a proper conclusion.
- You have 10 minutes for a session.

Start with a greeting, and highlight the topic today. Provide : 2 causes, 2 effects, 2 possible solutions Make sure to conclude before you end your discussion.
