DECOMPOSERS
A HIDDEN WORLD UNDERGROUND
By 5th GRADERS AT CEIP PANCHO COSSÍO
Decomposers or transformers, are organisms that break down dead organisms and waste materials into nutrients usable by the producers.
Without decomposers, the ecosystems will be out of balance. We have imagined that new species of transformers colonize them.

nº1 INSECTCIRCLE
This decomposer only eat dead plants. It reduces the ramains of plants to minerals and gasses again.
By Sandra
nº2 biting mushroom
This decomposer will move to places where there are dead animals or plants to obtain nutrients. If biting musrooms live in an ecosistem, its soil will be clean.
By Alejandro
nº3 the canelaworm
The live in tropical rainforest. It´s an organisms which feeds on dead plants and animals. They obtain nutrients and energy by decomposing the remain of other living things. The Canelaworm multiplies by two when it eats.
By Nuria
nº4 gigant serpent
It is adapted to the heat in the desert because it has a dense skin.It feeds on the abandoned preys and other organisms that did not adapt to the desert.
By Joel
nº5 SUHLIBAN
They live underground. They usually live near plants. They detect when an animal or a plant dies and moves rapidly towards the remain of the living organism. In the upper part it has the shape of a cup above which is where the remains are taken. It usually takes 3 days to decompose the remains and then it dissapears one day and then appears elsewhere. (as if teletrasporting).

nº6 the flying star
It is an insect an are small because of its thi n legs. It seems that it´s flying and it has a star shape.
By Lucía.
nº7 the fungi-z
When a dead animal or plant is detected by the fungi-z, this sill decompose it in minimum 15 minutes.
By Santiago A.
nº8 SURFBOARD
It is bigger than a worm but smaller than a bird. It is long and it has 4 legs. It´s red, blue and green and it is similar to a surfboard. It lives on the beach and eats carcasses and decomposes them into minerals.
By Ana
nº9 the blue mushroom
It doesn´t move. It lives in meadows and it´s toxic. It decomposes everything in minerals.
By Héctor
nº10 BACTERIUM ANJU
It´s a man-made bacterium that breaks down what is dead; breaks it down in a few seconds, it´s faster than normal bacteria.
By Juan José
nº11 SHARK POnt
It lives and eats in the water. It eats aquatic plants. It can breathe under the water using its gills and it moves with its fins. It obtain energy and minerals that are used by the barnacles.
By Neco
