The Puppy sculpture
flower and steel statue in Bilbao Guggelheim Museum in Spain, it stands in front of the museum`s door - 12.4 metre tall and about 16 tonnes in weight Scottish white furred dog. It was designed by Jeff Koones. It consists of 37.000 of flowers which are changed twice a year.
The Leaning Tower in Pisa, Italy
It`s freestanding bell tower. It started leaning in the late 1170s after the complexion of the first three of the tower`s eight planned stories. The leaning was caused by the uneven settling of the building`s foundation in the soft ground.
The Eiffel Tower
it was built by Gustave Eiffel in 1889 for the celebration of 100th anniversary of French Revolution.It was built in two years, two months and five days. Every seven years around 60 tones of paint are applied to the tower.
Big Ben
It`s the nickname of Great Bell of the stricking clock. The name is extended and refers to the clock and the clock tower. Big Ben chimes every 15 minutes and the sound can be heard from a radius of up to 5 miles.
The Colloseum
it was built in the heart of Ancient Rome;made from stone and concrete by the power of tens of thousdands of slaves. The Colosseum is the largest amphitheater (meaning “theatre in the round”) in the world! This brilliant building had 80 entrances and could seat approximately 50,000 spectators who would come to watch sporting events and games. These events included gladiatorial combats, wild animal hunts and, believe it or not, ship naval battles!
