PRESENTATION
Hello! My name is Nadya García Valero from 1ºB. In this work we had to talk about some plague that existed in Ancient Rome or Greece. I choose the Justiciane Plague, because I think is more interesting to me and I want to discover a little more about it. I hope you like it and learn a lot. START 👉
WHAT IS THE JUSTINIAN PLAGUE
It was a pandemic that affected the Eastern Roman Empire, better known as the Byzantine Empire. The first time this disease arrived was in the year 541, but for 200 more years it was appearing in different areas, spreading. It was given this name by the Emperor Justinian I who ruled the empire at that time and who himself was about to die from this disease. There are many historians who say that this plague came from the bubonic plague and that it arose somewhere in East Africa and from there it moved.

Microorganism that cause this plague
According to several scientists, the bacteria that caused this disease was the Yersinia pestis. Although it is assumed that this plague was caused by the bubonic plague, a disease with symptoms similar to those of the flu and that also affects the eyes. This plague is also caused by the same bacteria that caused the Justinian plague.

USED INSECT REPELLANTS
How this disease could be prevented?
There is no vaccine or medicine against this disease, but it is recommended to use insect repellants in order to prevent bites from fleas, which transmit Yernisia pestis. It is also recommended to ensure that your pets do not have fleas and if you suspect that your pet may be infected, go to the vet. Likewise, if you think you are infected, go to the doctor.

SIMILIARITIES WITH THE COVID-19
A pandemic that arrived from abroad and that spread rapidly from the ports where asymptomatic or not passengers arrived, without any medical remedy available that could stop it, all the inhabitants confined to their homes to avoid contagion, the total paralysis of the economy, the army watching the streets, doctors working, thousands of deaths daily ... This is what happened when the plague of Justinian arrived in Rome, doesn't it seem very similar to what happened in 2020 with the covid? Well, yes, although it may not seem like it, these two diseases are very similar.
