Introduction
The Museum of the Councils and Visigoth Culture is located in the incomparable setting of the Church of San Román, a beautiful example of the first Toledan Mudejar (13th century).
It shows some of the vestiges of what was the ancient capital of the Visigothic Kingdom of Toledo and the grave goods found in the necropolis of Carpio de Tajo are exhibited.

The Church of San Román is located in one of the highest parts of the city of Toledo. Its origins could be traced back to the Visigothic period, since under the main chapel a crypt identified as an apse built at that time was discovered during its restoration in 1968.
