During pregnancy the female body creates two organs inside the uterus: the placenta and the amiotic fluid
PLACENTA:It is a spongy like tissue attached to the uterus which provides the fetus with oxygen and nutrients. The fetus is connected to the placenta through the umbilical cord.
Amiotic sac:It is a thin bag that contains a liquid called amiotic fluid which supports and protects the fetus.
The umbilical cord is the connexion between the fetus and the mother. It is also how nutrients and oxygen get to the fetus and how the fetus gets rid of the waste products such as carbon dioxide.
