FESC : Fira d’Economia Solidària de Catalunya Barcelona Octobre each year, during 3 days The FESC is the annual meeting and exhibition event of the movement. It is held annually on the last weekend of October at the Fabra I Coats factory (Barcelona). It brings together over a weekend about 200 exhibitors in a sample of ESS entities and projects, a content program of a hundred activities and a meeting space for the movement. Each year, a theme is chosen that forms the backbone of the image, talks, debates and presentations. Tatou Juste Saint-Etienne, France Novembre, every year, 2 days Tatou Juste highlights the many initiatives that act concretely and locally for a society that is more respectful of the environment and human beings. For all these years, it is the will to initiate a dynamic of transition towards a liveable future for the greatest number of people that carries the Festival. If themes such as climate change, organic food, zero waste or others could be seen as reserved for the initiated, all citizens are now grasping these subjects and questioning themselves. Some are even talking about collapse, and are pushing us even more to change, now, without further delay. UNI4SSE Athens, Greece Unknown dates The vision of Uni4sse ( (Unity for Social Solidarity Economy) is to implement actions that promote and highlight, an alternative model of economy and work, the Social & Solidarity Economy (SSE) with the ultimate goal of making it more visible and understandable in society. The aim of the team organizing the Festival is to promote and give visibility to SSE, also by organizing in the near future an SSE festival that will stand on the experience of the previous Festival for Social and Collaborative Economy (Fest4SCE, 2012-2016), and that will attract particularly young people towards SSE. Since its gradual formation in 2019, the team has implemented two online events on the SSE ecosystem in Greece and on SSE in the field of education. The team is self-managed, open, based on the values of SSE and if functions according to sociocratic methodology. Through this festival, the aims are to highlight the benefits of SSE for the sustainability, sharing and prosperity of society as a whole and the environment, away from the speculation that prevails today. To try, all together without social exclusions, to form a fairer, more democratic, more participatory, more solidarity and with economic equality, tomorrow's world, beyond the consumer standards that are promoted and imposed today. Festival des Solidarités Different cities in France, but also in Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Togo... Novembre, every year Under the umbrella of Festisol, every November thousands of people organise events with a serious purpose but a fun and friendly atmosphere in order to celebrate local and international solidarity. These two weeks of events bring people together, encourage them to reflect on issues of common concern, and work to create a world that is more equitable, united and sustainable. In this way, Festisol helps to raise awareness and mobilise people to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Festival of Solidarities supports the values of a solidarity that is open to the world and to others: anyone can join the movement and help to build solidarity in a village, district, country, or even the world, in order to promote a plethora of united alternatives to the current situation! Fa' la cosa giusta! (Do the right thing) Italy During 3 days, every year Fa’ la cosa giusta! is the national fair of conscious consumption and sustainable lifestyles in Italy. An event promoted and organised by Terre di Mezzo, being held in Milan, every March, since 2004. Forthcoming in 2019 the XVI edition.Recent years have been marked by an increasing consumers’ awareness about their role in making “green choices” to guarantee a sustainable growth of the planet. In Italy as well as worldwide, the quest for products and services that combine quality and innovation with respect for people and the environment is gaining more and more attention. Since its launch in 2004, Fa’ la cosa giusta! has aimed at matching demand and supply, and today it is widely recognised as the national benchmark for conscious consumption and sustainable lifestyles. Fair of the Social and Solidarity Economy Poble Sec, Barcelona During 3 days, every year The Poble Sec Social, Solidarity and Sustainable Economy Fair is an event organized by CooperaSec to show the richness of community projects in the neighborhood of Poble Sec (in Barcelona), do activities and create spaces and debates that show the neighborhood everything that moves in the cooperative world and the values they carry implicitly.The objective of the fair is to showcase formal, informal, individual or collective projects of social and solidarity economy and at the same time create a space for reflection on what they represent: initiatives of democratic and participatory management, equitable and solidarity, with a strong commitment towards the community and with a prioritization of people’s satisfaction over profit.The Fair represents the various axes that CooperaSec (the network that promote the social and solidarity economy in the neighborhood of Poble Sec) works on and promotes : responsible consumption, care economics, feminist economy, agroecology , responsible consumption, community culture, shared parenting and neighborhood sustainability.
