Motor Imitation
Before teaching imitation, the student will be required to have mastered attending skills. Attending skills are the foundation for teaching imitation. If a student is unable to attend, then they will not be able to imitate. The student should have the ability to sit and attend to the teacher and materials. It is helpful, but not necessary if the student is able to independently do gross or fine motor skills.

- Look and track objects
- Keep hands and body parts to self
