THE BIG BANG THEORY!

WHAT IS THE BIG BANG ?

The big bang theory is the way that scientists believe the universe began.

WHAT HAPPENED?

It was when a very small ball with no density and unimaginable heat exploded with great force, this was

when the universe was formed, along with time, space and all matter. As the universe expanded and cooled, energy changed into particles and matter. In a fraction of a second, the Universe grew from smaller than a single atom, to bigger than a galaxy and it kept growing at an unimaginable rate. It is still expanding today!

HOW DO WE KNOW IT HAPPENED?

There isn't many pieces of evidence that we can use to prove that the big bang actually happened, but, two major scientific discoveries that provide strong support for the Big Bang theory. For example, discovery in the 1920s of a relationship between a galaxy's distance from earth and its speed. Another discovery is from the 1960s of cosmic microwave background radiation.

WILL IT EVER HAPPEN AGAIN?

Recent evidence suggests that it is unlikely but it is not 100% certain, measurements haven't been available for long, and could reverse in the future.
