La forme progressive

En espagnol, pour exprimer « être en train de + infinitif », on emploie le verbe ESTAR conjugué + le GERONDIF. (C'est l'équivalent de "BE + -ing" en anglais)

Pedro está viendo la tele.

Juan y Carlos están jugando al tenis.

(Yo) estoy comiendo chocolate.

La chica está haciendo los deberes.

Ejemplos :

GERONDIF SEUL = PARTICIPE PRESENT, « EN FAISANT… » (complément de manière) Employé seul, (sans Estar), le Gérondif sert à exprimer 2 actions simultanées, (qui ont lieu en même temps) et correspond au participe présent français (en faisant, en allant…). Attention ! Il n’y a pas besoin de rajouter «EN» !

Los niños están comiendo pizza viendo la tele (les enfants mangent une pizza en regardant la télé).

Está haciendo deporte escuchando música (elle fait du sport en écoutant de la musique).
