ASTERIX AND OBELIX
Asterix and Obelix are the characters in a series of comic strips of French origin created by the writer and screenwriter René Goscinny and illustrated by the cartoonist Albert Uderzo.Its creation dates back to 1959 and its edition is still valid today, as this comic book classic still competes with the most current works in the world of comics.
Little Nicholas
This mischievous French boy (Le Petit Nicolas) was also created by René Goscinny and the great cartoonist Sempé during the 1960s and even today he continues to be the protagonist of great stories that attract young audiences.
Collections of his stories have been sold in more than 30 different countries with more than 10 million copies sold, also enjoying a film adaptation.

TINTIN
The Adventures of Tintin is one of the most famous collections in the comic book world.
Its creator is the Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi (1907 - 1983) better known as Hergé.
The Adventures of Tintin is one of the most popular European comic book collections of the 20th century, translated into more than 80 languages and has sold more than 350 million copies worldwide.

The great Hergé
Hergé is the pseudonym (artistic name) by which the great Belgian cartoonist Georges Prosper Remi, creator of the adventures of Tintin, is known, among many other works from the world of comics.
Recognized as one of the best artists of the 20th century, this author has his own museum, where it tells all the work and creation of the artist.
SMURFS
This endearing series of drawings has found its way into thousands of homes around the world.
The popular comic series was created in 1958 by Belgian cartoonist Peyo (pseudonym for Pierre Cullidord).
Smurfs (French: Schtroumpfs) are tiny imaginary blue creatures that live in mushroom houses in a forest.
As with other great works of comics, The Smurfs were also brought to the big screen in the form of an animated television series and film productions.
He is currently the author's son, Thierry Cullidord, who has continued the work of his father.
Lucky Luke
Another popular comic book created by cartoonist Maurice de Bevere, and for a time also written by René Goscinny.
Together with The Adventures of Tintin and Asterix, Lucky Luke is arguably one of the most famous and best-selling comic book stories in continental Europe.
The Lucky Luke comics have been translated into 23 languages, including many European languages and some African and Asian languages.
TITEUF
Titeuf is a French comic created by the Swiss author ZEP, who has seen great success on the French comic scene. It tells the daily life of Titeuf, a boy between 8 and 10 years old, characterized by a blond toupee, and his friends, as well as his own vision of the adult world. Part of this character's dialogue deals with the mysteries of the girls and the love he secretly feels for Nadia. Titeuf poses his own questions to a child who grows up to be a pre-adolescent.
Titeuf becomes famous
Titeuf's comic was exhibited on the 20th anniversary of the Angoulême Festival, which is the great annual French comic festival. From this point on, Titeuf's sales soared. Zep declared that "Titeuf is closely linked to the Angoulême Festival".
THE BELGIAN MUSEUM OF COMICS
This other museum is a temple dedicated to comics.It is located in an Art Nouveau building built by Victor Horta in 1906, located in the center of Brussels. It opened its doors in October 1989 and it pays tribute to great characters and authors who have been a reference in the world of comics for several generations: Tintin and his inseparable dog Snowy, The mythical Smurfs, Marsupilami or Lucky Luke among others.

The Brussels comic book route is very widely known. It is a route that revolves around the comic, and in its itinerary it integrates all the places and corners that keep the essence of the comic, through murals painted in the streets, landscapes or mythical points that served as inspiration for the creation of the comics.This route, which was originally created as a proposal to solve in an original way the problems of rehabilitation of some walls left without maintenance and in poor condition in the capital, has become a landmark for the hundreds of visitors who come every year to the Belgian capital, considered "the cradle of comics", and now we understand why.
