Eclectic approach
The Eclectic approach involves the use of a variety of language learning activities, each of which may have very different characteristics and may be motivated by different underlying assumptions in order to generate a better uderstanding and processing of new infirmation.
The use eclecticism is due to the fact that there are strengths as well as weaknesses in single theory based methods.

Language is based on structures which are used to convey meanings, which perform functions.
Acts as an active participant of the process (comunicate, cooperate and self correct)
Work as a facilitator or guide for the students.
It's seen as a combined process of structural and communicative activities.
