On business idioms part I you´ll learn the meaning of six common idioms used in the business enviroment.

(tobe)thrown in the deep end
Someone is put into a difficult situation without preparation. e.g.I don´t want to throw you in the deep end on your first day at work, but do you think you can make a presentation for the CEO?
Out of one´s depth
Unsure about you ability to do something ( similar meaning). e.g. My sister loves working in teams, but she feels out of her depth in the finance department.
Learn the ropes
To learn the basic tasks that allow you to do the job well.
e.g. How is the job? It´s going well. I am still learning the ropes, but my colleagues are great
Climb the corporate ladder
The advancement or progression of roles throughout a career. e.g. If women want to climb the corporate ladder, they may have to sacrifice some of their family life. (cambridge dictionary)
Think outside the box
Think creatively and solve problems in non-standard ways. e.g. We need to think outside the box to find different solutions to the staff problem.
Steep learning curve
Use it when you think or reflect about the challenges you overcome in the past. Personal/ professional life. e.g. For many students studying in a foreign country can be a steep learning curve.
