How to be safe on the internet?

  • Protect your privacy! Don't provide your personal data, such as: telephone number, home address, name or surname.
  • Talk if something is wrong! If something on the internet worries you or scares you be sure to tell your parents or another adult or call Helpline- 116 111.
  • Don't trust people you meet on the web! Don't meet people you meet on the internet. Inform parents about meeting proposition from online friends
  • Respect others on the web! Be respectful for others. Respect others as you want to be respected.
  • Use the internet in moderation! Using a computer, tablet or smartphone for too long can harm your health and worsen contacts with friends.

Safe Internet Day- a holiday celebrated across Europe in the first half of February. Since 2004, in 45 countries around the world, including Poland, the Safe Internet Day has been celebrated 15 times so far. The main point is that children and adolescents aren't exposed to danger when using online resources.
