In each step, we will face a country that has its rules and we will need to answer correctly the question in order to conquer it and pass to the next destination. When do we use past simple?An action that took place and was completed in the past.

Examples – • He lived in Fiji in 1976. • She played the piano when she was a child.

Time expressions:

1. Yesterday

Positive Form: Base verb+ed/ Irregular verb

I traveled in France Yesterday.

2. Last (year, week, winter..)

Examples- He walked to school yesterday./ He ate breakfast in the morning.

Last week I traveled in France.

3. Ago

Negative Form: did not + base verb

Two years ago I traveled in France.

4. In 1994 (in the summer, in my childhood..)

Example - She did not eat breakfast.

In 1994 I traveled in France.

Questions Form: Did ………….. +base verb

The time expressions can be in the beginning of the sentence or in the end.

Did she eat breakfast?
