THE CASTLE GHOST…. Almost all of Scotland’s castles have stories of ghosts, and perhaps the best known ghost of Stirling Castle is that of the Green Lady, a phantom said to appear at the most unexpected times and places in the castle. The City of Stirling is one of the most important landmarks in Scotland’s history and it has been the place of many important events of the past, which significantly shaped the country’s future. Today Stirling is trouble free and a delightful place to visit. Adapted from: www. http://scotlandwelcomesyou.com/scottish-castle-ghosts/

STIRLING CASTLE There is are many ghosts in Stirling. Here are the two most famous:

  • The Green Lady is Stirling’s most famous ghost. She was a maidservant to Mary Queen of Scots, who was crowned here.
  • The Queen almost died when, asleep in her bed, her bedroom curtains caught fire from a candle. Luckily, She was saved by the maidservant, who died in the fire. Ever since then, the weird phantom of the Green Lady has appeared unexpectedly in different parts of the castle, as if she is checking for fires.
  • The Pink Lady is reported to be a beautiful apparition dressed in a pink dress. Some say she is the ghost of Queen Mary, and other stories suggest she is a young widow(=veuve) searching for her husband who was killed in battle. It seems that the mysterious Pink Lady is usually seen walking from the castle to the nearby church.

FINAL TASK

  • WE WILL WEBQUEST!!!

THE HIGHLAND GAMES: READ AND DISCOVER - There is music - There is dancing - There are really funny games of brute strength - There are races and jumps.

The multimedia content is essential in a presentation to leave everyone speechless. Moreover, this will help you synthesize the content and keep your audience entertained. Pose a dramatic question; it is the essential ingredient to maintain the audience's attention. It is usually posed subtly at the beginning of the story to intrigue the audience and is resolved at the end. Visual content is a cross-cutting, universal language, like music. We are able to understand images from millions of years ago, even from other cultures.
