In an INFORMAL EMAIL you write to a friend or a relative about personal news.

- Use appropiate greetings and closing expressions
- You don't have to include addresses or dates in an informal email
- Use short forms (I'm) not full ones ( I am)
- Use colloquial, chatty style and avoid formal expressions and linkers
- Use phrasal verbs and idioms
- Ask your reader questions or express an interest in what they are doing.
