To ensure universal access to affordable electricity by 2030, it is necessary to invest in clean energy sources, such as solar, wind and thermal.
Between 1995 and 2015, the energy intensities of each end-use sector have evolved as follows:
• Residential: decreased by 45.9%
• Industrial: decreased 15.6%
• Commercial and services: decreased 10.9%
• Transportation: decreased 5.6%
• Agriculture: increased 37.7%
