For the Past Simple these are expressions of time in the past. a week/month/year ago in 1999 last night/week/year the other day years ago yesterday Here are some examples: What did you eat last night? I met my girlfriend in 2011. I didn’t pass my driving test the other day. Did you live in this town years ago?
