The Story of Passover
Pharaoh the king of Egypt made the Children of Israel work very hard for him. They were his slaves. Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and asked him to let them go. Moses warned Pharaoh that if he didn't let the Children of Israel go that G-d would send ten terrible plagues upon the Egyptians.
Pharaoh did not listen and G-d sent the plagues. The water in the rivers turned into blood. Frogs went into the people's houses, into their bedrooms and kitchens. Lice, flies and locusts were sent to make the people of Egypt feel bad. The Egyptians' animals became ill and died. Many people died from the boils.
They suffered the Ten Plagues most terrible storms and many animals died from being out in the storms. The ninth plague was darkness. The land was covered in darkness for three days. No one could see anything for three days. Pharaoh was scared and soon after that he finally let the Children of Israel go.
What do you think was the worst of the first nine plagues?
