In this guide, we present a selection of works related to light in different fields and themes.
International Light Day is an international event administered by UNESCO's International Basic Science Program (IBSP) held on May 16 of each year, in commemoration of the first laser light emission on May 16, 1960, obtained by Theodore Maiman with a ruby laser.
Most of the books are available in one of the libraries of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya or in other Catalan universities and can be lent to members of the university community.
