Asking teaches us humility. It reminds us of our need for others. It reminds us of our weaknesses.

Prayers of the Faithful

-It is also called General Intercession.

-We gathered as one family of God to pray for particular intentions. -It is a series of prayers of petitions.

Prayers of the Faithful

-We lift our prayers to God with hope and love. -We ask Him to hear our plea and grant us our prayers.

-We offer to God our wishes. We bring to Him the needs of the entire community.

-Church Leaders -Country and our leaders -Community and Parish -Sick, poor, unemployed, and departed loved ones

-In the Prayers of the Faithful, we all speak to God. We tell Him what is in our hearts. We are united, and we ask God to listen to our petitions. -The Church reminds us that we should not exclude anyone.

It removes selfishness in our hearts. We mirror God who has been generous to us for His graces.

To pray for others manifests our concern for them. It develops our care not only for our well-being but for others as well.

Prayers of the Faithful

-We are reminded that we belong to the family of God. -This is the last part of the Liturgy of the Word.
