WHAT IS A SIMPLE SENTENCE?

A simple sentence is a sentence that consist of only one clause, with a single subject and predicate.

A simple sentence is also called an independent clause.

Let's see some examples:

  2. My sister hates to swim without a hair cap.
  3. I went to the park yesterday.
  4. Salads are a very healthy meal.
  5. My friends and I played soccer.
  6. Carmen slept at her cousins house.
