Biodiversity

Healthy ecosystems have a high amount of biodiversity.

What is biodiversity? Biodiversity is a term that describes the sum total of all the different species in an ecosystem. Ecosystems with a lot of diversity are healthier, and better able to withstand changes. Certain human activities can impact the biodiversity of ecosystems.
