The form of goverment of the UK
The monarch.
The UK is a Constitutional monarchy. Elizabeth II is the present sovereign. She has no real power. Her functions are above all ceremonial and symbolic.
PARLIAMENT STRUCTURE
It is made up of three parts : The Monarch (king or Queen ),The House of Commons and The House of Lords. In The House of Commons there are 650 members elected by the people over the age of 18. In The House of Lords the members are not elected at all, most of them are hereditary members. The two houses of Parliament meet in the Palace of Westminster in London.
THE PRIME MINISTER
The leader of the party, that wins the election becomes the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister and their party run the country, and are called the Government. Parties not in power are knows as the opposition and they take a leading role in the checking and challenging the ideas of Government through debates in the chamber.
MAGNA CARTA
Magna Carta is one of the most famous documents in the world. When Magna Carta was created, England had endured 16 years of John’s kingship – a rule based largely on extortion, legal chicanery, blackmail and violence.
