THE FORM OF GOVERNMENT
The United Kingdom is a constitutional monarchy. Important people are: • The Monarch • Prime Minister The Parlament is composed by: • The Monarch • The House of Commons • The House of Lords There are also two main political parties: • the Conservative Party • the Labour Party
THE MONARCH AND THE PRIME MINISTER
The Monarch can be a King or a Queen. It's the Head of the State but her functions are symbolic. She also has the power to appoint the Prime Minister.She reigns but she doesn’t rule.

The Prime Minister is the leader of the majority party in Parliament. His official house is in London at No.10 Downing Street.

QUEEN ELIZABETH II
The current Queen is Elizabeth II. She became queen 6th February 1947 after death of his father. Today, his reign is the longest in all of British history
Boris Johnson
The current Prime Minister is Boris Johnson. He has this assignment from 24 July 2019. He was also London's mayor from 2008 to 2016 and from 2016 to 2018 he was also Secretary of State.
THE HOUSE OF COMMONS
The House of Commons is composed by 650 members elected by the people over the age of 18. It his the most important part of the Parliament. Its members remain in office maximum 5 years. Each member irepresents an electoral district called "constituency"
The House of Lords a big part of members isn't elected but are hereditary members. There are also around 800 life peers. Everybody can noimate somebody to be a life peer and then reccomended by the Monrach and the Prime Minister you became a Lord or a Baroness

THE HOUSE OF PARLIAMENT
Westminister palace (or House of Parliament) is the London building where the two houses of the UK Parliament are located. The oldest part of it is of 1097. It hosts also the famous Big Ben. All the building has over 1000 rooms
