These topics are very similar and you will have to look for similar things. The only thing that changes is how the question is set out. One is vertical and the other is horizontal.

Vertical codes

You will be given some figures with code letters. You have to work out what each letter means and then use it to work out the code for a new figure.Vertical codes are written vertically. How to answer these questions: - Look at the code letters that have been repeated. If two figures contain the same letter, they must have something in common. So find out what this common thing is to work out what that letter means. - The code will be made of two or three letters. - Not everything in the figure will be part of the code - so don't try to match everything up to a letter. - One letter can describe more than one element.
