Safer Internet Day (SID) is a world event happening in February per annum . It promotes a safer and a skilled use of online technology by children and children across the planet . Over the years, Safer Internet Day (SID) has become a landmark event within the online safety calendar. Starting in 2004 under the primary Safer Internet Action Plan as an initiative of the EU funded SafeBorders project and brought up by Insafe, the network of Safer Internet Centres, Safer Internet Day has grown beyond its traditional geographic zone and is now celebrated in additional than 170 countries across all continents, and reaches many people worldwide.
