Kiedy używamy mowy zależnej?
Mowę zależną stosujemy kiedy:
- Mówimy jakąś wypowiedź, nie cytując jej wprost
- Zdajemy relacje
- Coś opowiadamy
Zdania konstruujemy za pomocą "Następstwa czasu"
Oznacza to że cofamy się o jeden czas
Przykłady zdań:
Robert said (that) he woke up at 8 o'clock everyday (Past Simple)
Robert said " I wake up at 8 o'clock everyday" (Present Simple)

"Where did Jake go?" - asked Luke.

He said the sun was shining.
"The sun is shining" - He said.
Czym różni się mowa zależna od mowy niezależnej?
Mowa niezależna występuje wtedy, gdy przytaczamy czyjąś wypowiedź w formie cytatu lub po prostu sami coś mówimy. Mowa zależna pojawia się, kiedy powtarzamy czyjąś wypowiedź, poprzedzając ją wstępem typu “On powiedział, że…”, “Mary zapytała, czy…”, itd.
