Which are the objectives?

1. Identify the Elements of Art and how they influence an artwork.

2. Analyze content and composition of artworks to develop a critical and analytical evaluation.

3. Experiment with different artistic and design techniques.

4. Make a personal approach to identify the types of art of their preference.

What are we going to need?

MATERIALS

Art projects will vary between hands-on projects and online design projects focused on art theory or history.

• Recylced Materials (cardboard, cereral boxes, newspaper, etc.)
• Art Pad (or white pages or white cardboard)
• Pencil, eraser, sharpener
• Ruler
• Markers
• Coloring pencils

How do I evaluate?

Late assignments will receive a penalty of 5 points less. Work not turned in will result in a failing grade. If the student has a valid excuse, the student has until the next day to turn in. The excuse should be send by email by the parent.

Assignments will be collected on established due date published in Teams. If the student is unable to turn in that day, he/she can still submit the assignment to me next day (maximum 1 week later) but it will be considered late.

Grades will be based on the demonstration of objectives, such as:

• following instructions,
• effort,
• neatness
• and punctuality.

How are we going to learn?

Class Rules

1. A proper conduct is expected in the Art Class. Respect towards the teacher and the classmates are expected.

2. The students should be present and active in the class. Ready to participate when they are called. If the students does not answers when is called, the student will be considered absent to the class.

3. Student should wear their uniform and have their camera on during class. They should keep their microphone off and turn it on when is their turn to participate.

4. Excuses (tardiness, absences, late assignments) must be sent by the parent via email. If it´s possible, please notify through Teams that an email was sent if it´s urgent.
