Your quick guide to importing SCORM file packages to Canvas
This interactive is designed to help you learn how to import SCORM file packages and troubleshoot common issues along the process.
Start
Go to your Canvas course and click SCORM on the navigation menu. If it's not on your navigation menu, you'll have to enrol yourself in the course so you can enable it in the course settings. See 2nd slide.

Now that you have enrolled yourself in the course, you will be able to see the navigation tab in your course settings. Follow the instructions below to enable SCORM in your course. Don't forget to click save on the bottom of the page.

Once you've clicked SCORM from your navigation menu, you will see this file upload page. Click the upload button, select your zip file package, and press open. This will then import the file package to Canvas. The file upload usually takes just a couple of minutes but bigger file size means longer processing time.

Once the file upload is complete, you will see the content name and the 'Choose import type' menu. Select your SCORM content's import type and click go. Next, open the file package by clicking the document icon with the 'A+' on it.

SCORM content is now Canvas ready! This won't be part of your module pages yet but you just have to add it in. Easy!
