Here are top tips for describing a photo or a picture in an exam.

• Look at your picture carefully and take a few moments to think before you start talking. • Talk for all the time you are given. If you have one minute to do the task, use every second. • Practise the useful language I am giving you in the next slides. Click here to see an example of students describing pictures.

What can you see in this picture? Who are they? Where are they? What are they doing? What do they look like? . Appearance. . Age What are they wearing? Where are they from? What are their feelings?
