simple FUTURE

Start

The simple future is a verb tense that’s used to talk about things that haven’t happened yet.

Use the simple future to talk about an action or condition that will begin and end in the future.

Simple future has two different forms in English: "will" and "be going to." Although the two forms can sometimes be used interchangeably, they often express two very different meanings.

Simple Future "Will"

"Will" to Express a Voluntary Action I will send you the information when I get it. I will translate the email, so Mr. Smith can read it.

Prediction It will rain tomorrow. Who do you think will get the job?

"Will" to Express a Promise I will call you when I arrive. I promise I will not tell him about the surprise party.

Decisions in that moment I will be at the stations soon I will make salad
