Climate Change
Wildfires
The Sahara Desert is also experiencing high amount of pollution, specifically air pollution. The dust that comes from the desert blows south and starts polluting the air in Africa. Because of the air pollution the infant mortality rate in Africa is getting higher. This can also affect the animals living in the desert. However, there is a solutions. scientists learned that making the ground moist prevents dust from rising.
A long time ago the Sahara Desert used to have a log of green vegetation. This version of the Sahara desert had increased rainfall a large amount of biodiversity. Over the years the conditions in this African desert have changed. Scientists says that the Green Sahara could be back again because of the Earth's orbital rotation. However, climate change that was caused by humans made it more unpredictable.
A short term change that could impact the Sahara could be wild fires. Wildfire happens a lot in desert regions, like Calforina, due to the intense heat. The Sahara could also be victim to this disaster. This fires can kill many of the organisms living in the area. This might seem bad, but the death of the plants can introduce nutrients to the soil. All of this depends on the fire. A longer fire could hurt the ecosystem, and it might never recover.

Conslusion
The desert might be a dry place, but it certainly isn't dry to learn about it. There are many organisms that live there, and the way they have adapted to the conditions of their ecosystem is spectacular. All of these organisms interact with each other. Because of this, each every one of them is important to the desert ecosystem. However, the living organisms aren't the only thing needed to make an ecosystem. The abiotic factor are also necessary to the survival of the organisms. Many of them depend on the minerals in the soil, the sunlight, and even the little rain that occurs in the desert. The Sahara desert changes all the time causing the organisms to adapt. Some of these changes can be beneficial but others aren't. Humans are the main cause for most of them. The truth is that all of the ecosystems are important to our Earth, and it is important that we do our best to protect them.
