PHONETICS AND PHONOLOGY

Phonetics sees the construction of sounds, based on which vocal organs are communicating with each other and how close these vocal organs are in relation to each other. For example "z". If the vocal folds do not vibrate, this does not make the voice and create a sound without voice, e.g. ". However, phonology is more associated with abstract compositions of sounds, as it is about how these categories intersect in the mind. For example such as the comparison of the sounds of the two "p" sounds in "pop-up."
