Although it's the most extense city in Brazil, it has the biggest population of South America. That could be a problem if the population keeps growing faster than the actual city does.

CRIME RATE

Since there are so many people in this city, you have to be careful when walking down the streets. Brazil is known for its high crime rate.

HOUSING

Buying a house, a flat, or renting them can be expensive in São Paulo, but it is definitely worth it; it has all the facilities and services needed.It also doesn't count with lots of slums, unlike most Brazilian cities.

FESTIVITIES

• CARNIVAL- Although it's not as important as in Rio de Janeiro, the streets of São Paulo get crowded by dancers and parades during February.
• SÃO PAULO FASHION WEEK- It's one of the most famous fashion shows of the world. It's organized twice: one week of January and one week of June.
• BIENNIAL OF MODERN ART- It's the second most famous biennial of the world, only behind the Venetian one. Lots of art pieces are displayed between september and december.
• VIRADA CULTURAL- During 24 hours, on May, any kind of artist can perform in the streets. This day of the year, the city is plenty of actors, painters, dancers, or musicians.
